Balloon Rockets!

For TASS ( Technology Art Science Social Studies ) Mr Arnold set a challenge for us,... we were making balloon rockets! First, we got a straw, some paper, some scissors, sellotape and most importantly a balloon! first, we stuck little pieces of triangle shaped paper on the bottom of the straw, next, we used sellotape to stick the end of the balloon with the hole in it at the opposite end from the paper, and made it tight!! Finally, we blew up the balloon we held the end of the straw ( to keep the air in ) held the end, and let it fly!!

PrEP Market Day

This term, we have spent a lot of time getting to know each other. We were put into groups and had to apply for job roles. We were either accountants, designers, marketers or managers. Next we thought about a business ideas and then we had to narrow down our ideas and settle on one. We spent the rest of the term planning, making, and advertising our products and services. Here are some photos of us on Market Day.

Mrs Lloyd's Last Day

On the last day of term, Mrs Lloyd got to ride in a helicopter because she was retiring. Her family organised this surprise for her (she had no idea). Here is a video of us watching as the helicopter lifts off the ground! We hope that you enjoy your retirement Mrs Lloyd!!

Education Outside The Classroom (EOTC) Week

Room 4 took part in EOTC week where we challenged ourselves with a variety of different activities. On Monday, we went Rock Climbing and to Flip City. On Tuesday, we went tramping in the beautiful Kahuterawa Valley. On Wednesday, we went surf lifesaving at Himitangi Beach. On Thursday we went to Telcey Park and rode horses. On Friday,  we learnt about orienteering at the Esplanade - we also had a BBQ.

It was so much fun working together, thinking together, and learning together (our school values) in a different setting.
